Energy Work, Body Code & Theta Healing

What is it?

Body Code is a system developed by the chiropractor Dr. Bradley Nelson. It uses applied kinesiology to identify and release energetic blockages involving emotions, chakras, acupuncture meridians, toxins, pathogens, and even the structures of the body.

Theta Healing is another energy healing modality. It was created by Vianna Stibal. In this technique, the practitioner works in the theta brainwave state to access and change limiting beliefs that affect health and well-being.

How does it work and why is it helpful?

While some medical issues are very physical, like musculoskeletal injuries, or involve pathogens, like Lyme disease, others can be strongly affected by the energies of emotions and beliefs. The body expends energy holding on to these energies instead of allowing them to move through the system and be released. Medical and personal history, applied kinesiology, and sometimes intuition are used to identify when Body Code and Theta Healing are indicated.

Who can benefit from it?

Sometimes patients show symptoms that either seem linked to emotional experiences in the past or that do not respond well to effective therapeutics. In these cases, energy work can be helpful. Body Code is an easy initial treatment and screening technique. It can be sufficient on its own for behavior shifts. Theta Healing is used most commonly for deep-seated behavior issues, though it can be used to support patients with any chronic disease pattern.

What should I expect?

Body Code and Theta Healing are used when a patient indicates a need for them. It is, however, possible to make an appointment specifically for energy work if you are drawn to it. Please be aware that we have different practitioners who specialize in reiki versus Body Code and Theta Healing. There is a small additional fee for reiki during an energy work appointment; the reiki is an excellent support for other energy work. With chronic emotional issues, treatment every 2-4 weeks is recommended.
